It’s more than likely that you probably have some old and useless electronic gadget or other than you would absolutely love to offload.
From Sunday on, some Best Buy stores in Baltimore, San Francisco and Minnesota will let you junk those broken devices for free. But before you load up the SUV (or horse and cart) with that enormous old 500lb TV, keep in mind there is a limit.
Best Buy will take computers, peripherals, phones, cameras and a few other things, but TVs and monitors should be no larger than 32 inches diagonal and forget about trying to dupe them into taking microwaves, air conditioners, or any other large household appliances. It isn’t going to happen.
Most recycling progams like these come with a cost due to electronic waste recycling laws that have been put in place by most states and since it is the manufacturer, or retailer that does the recycling which bears that cost, they usually place a fee on taking back your expired electronics.
Happy recycling!
