I dreamt that…
I saw and felt the colors of the flowers swimming before my eyes. Thousands of shades and hues that suddenly exploded into millions of particles of colored light. The light surrounded us...the aroma… I couldn’t help but give in to what I was seeing as the particles appeared and disappeared in sharp energetic bursts. They collided with each other, brushed against my skin like tiny soap bubbles and passed though me with an ever increasing speed until I lost all sense of solidity. I became like those paricles of light moving at high speed and ever changing…
I dreamt it… but I was awake…

Texting, ppl on the cell,
My pod’s in a dither,
I think I’m in hell.
20,000 tunes and 5,000 pix,
My circle of 5 so wants to be six.
Apprehensive today coz tweet’s on the fritz…
Vime-o me a video,
Utoob me your show,
Of belly dancing robots,
And cats on the piano.
OMG! What a mess,
I got street-mapped with my dog in a dress.
Encoded my DNA yesterday, using css… What!!!?
Huloo helps me catch up on TV,
Reality sucks,
Hey look, a show about me!
New stars come and go everyday,
I want to blog, and have my say.
Total validation at I Am Nation! Yay!
The book of faces,
And spaces of mine,
Games and apps to keep u realtime.
Digital snaps will journal your trip,
It’s a free for all, ah that’s just sick.
Travel the world on a pogo stick… Er, that’s just bizarre…
We’ll go online to shop and to read,
All the info I want through my rss feeds.
Oh no!
Now the goog’s all amuddle,
My email’s snarled up.
My browser froze and my saves are all stuck.
Hummph!
Don’t u just luv it when tech runs amock...
Amuck Time…

A Tribute to The Mass-Produced Genetically Altered Foodstuffs of The New Millennium
“There is no point in wishing that things could be different, they are what they are and you’ll have to live with it.”
“But I can’t eat genetically altered food, it makes me feel bad...”
“What do you mean?”
“I get pains in my back, my joints are stiff and I feel itchy all over my neck.”
“Something to do with aging?”
“Hey thanks, I just turned twenty-six!”
“Are you sure you aren’t just imagining all this?”
“Totally sure.”
“Maybe you should see a doctor.”
“Hah, hah!”
“What’s so funny?”
“The last time I did that, the doc told me to stop eating whatever it was in my diet that caused that effect. I totally cut everything out and wound up living on bottled water, baked potatoes and spinach for three weeks… By the fourth week I was emaciated and totally suffering from malnutrition… But the pains went away and I didn’t itch anymore!”
“OMG! You are so weird!”

Why does my bread fall butter side down,
Is it physics or fate that keeps us around.
Are we fallen angels that touched the ground,
Lost our wings, now all we hear is the sound.
Of our bread falling butter side down…

I have discovered that when writing short stories specifically for my web site, I am free from the binding influence of a static format. I can change a story-line, or details such as the names of my characters, or the location in which a story is set. I can even add to, or subtract from the dialogue as necessary… In other words, (as if those weren’t enough already) I am free to allow my stories to become organic, to grow and evolve (or devolve, according to the reader’s perception).
Just in case you’re wondering, this doesn’t mean a simple rehashing of old stories. That would be a cop out, wouldn’t it. It just means that some old stories will mingle happily with the new. My stories are nuanced with a hint of randomness that might hopefully create unexpected results. Riddle of The V’zanthi for instance had been lurking on my site for a couple of years, in a completely different form, but it remained undeveloped, so I’ve taken it apart and come at it from another angle.
The Private Digi-logs of Vresta M’Ogano is the germ of a new idea for the Riddle story-line that I had begun working on some time last year but never got the chance to develop, so I will be serializing it while writing a number of other short stories for The Alone, The V’zanthi: Time Walkers and the Tenari Spiral.

This has been on my mind for a while--creating my own collection of abstract photographs of consumable products, which have been forced through an effects filter or two, in Photoshop or Painter. This is the result of my first attempt, worked from an original photo that I took earlier today, and given the Photoshop treatment.

When you make an attempt to find balance in your dealings with others, it can bring back some interesting results.
Go for “overkill” on a project and its likely that only a portion of your efforts were required. However, go for just sufficient, and you’ll probably find it to be inadequate and you might even be seen as falling far short of your potential…
Try not to make promises you know you cannot keep.
Try not to make vows you are sure you will break.
Try not to borrow items you don’t intend to return.
Simplify your position and reduce the risk of trouble.
Try to contemplate your words before you speak.
Try to imagine the consequences before you act.
Try to be prepared before you start a journey.
Understand what’s at stake and explore your options.
